The Installgen Build CDs "ora_build1" thru"ora_build4"
are an integral part of the Oracle database installation process. These
CDs serve as a repository of patches, utilities and security software
which will be installed on the database server. It is recommended for
the DBA to download and build these CDs with the files listed below
prior to starting the installation process. Optimally the directory
structure and file names listed here should be used when building these
CDs. These files and directories will be specified by the installation
scripts generated by the Installgen application.
The shell script and batch file listed below will build
the top level directories for the ora_build1 CD, to reduce the chance
of typos. These top level directories are specified by name within the
build scripts. Once the directories are built, just click on each file
listed below and download it into the specified directory.
